Gather the Necessary Supplies
Before you start cleaning, you’ll need to gather the right supplies. You’ll need a soft rag or sponge, mild dish soap or baking soda, white vinegar, and a toothbrush. You may also want to have a pair of rubber gloves on hand if you’re sensitive to the cleaning materials.
Wipe Away Loose Messes
Before you go in with the cleaning supplies, take a damp rag and wipe away any loose debris on the inside of the oven door. This can help prevent the debris from smearing when you use the cleaning supplies.
Create a Cleaning Solution
Mix together a cup of white vinegar and a few drops of mild dish soap or baking soda to create a cleaning solution. This natural cleaner is gentle on the glass, but still effective at cleaning away grease and grime.
Apply the Solution to the Glass
Take the cleaning solution and apply it to the inside of the oven door. You can use either a damp sponge or rag to do this. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the glass, and let the solution sit for a few minutes.
Scrub Away Grease and Grime
Once the solution has had a chance to soak in, take a toothbrush and scrub away any remaining grease and grime. Be sure to use a gentle, circular motion and avoid scrubbing too hard, as this could damage the glass. Rinse off the solution with a damp rag when finished.
Dry the Glass
Once you’ve finished scrubbing, take a clean, dry rag and wipe away any remaining moisture. This will help prevent streaks and smudges from forming on the glass. Allow the oven door to air dry completely before closing it.
